Associational Staff

Our Associational Missionary is Matt Gaston. Matt and his wife Elaine have been with the Desert Pines Baptist Association since 1997. Bro. Matt came to the Association from a Pastoral background of 14 years as Senior Pastor and some 9 years as assistant pastor. Matt and Elaine have been married 31 years and they have 3 grown children. Matt is very familiar with the rural and ranching communities having been raised in Winslow, Az. and having been a Pastor in Montana.

Matt and Elaine have conducted Marriage Seminars and Marriage Retreats wherever they have lived and are available if you believe they could be of service where you serve. Matt has recently become the new pastor for Burton Baptist Church. Matt & Elaine will continue to serve as Associational Missionaries through December. But will begin the New Year in Burton. Feel free to contact our Missionary at our Associational office. 

Our Associational Treasurer/Financial Director is Bonnie Smith. Bonnie is married to Perry, and they have a 8 month old son, J.D. They live here in Snowflake and attend Valley View Southern Baptist Church. Bonnie is also our director for the New Life Pregnancy Center here in Snowflake. Bonnie is very excited to be our new Treasurer.

Our Associational and Arizona Baptist Children's Services Receptionist is Tonia Tamayo.  Tonia is married, has three children, and lives in Snowflake.
