Associational Staff

We would like to welcome our new Director of Missions/Evangelism, Jim Pratt. Jim and his wonderful wife Wanda come to Desert Pines from Yankton, South Dakota where Jim served as Director of Missions for Siouxland Association of Southern Baptists the past nine years. Previously Jim served as a Pastor in Yankton, South Dakota; Mason City, Iowa; and Anthony, New Mexico.

Jim was serving as a elementary school principle when God called him to pastoral ministry. They went to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas where Jim received the Masters of Divinity degree. After paturing in New Mexico for three years, God called them to the North where they have served Him for 22 years.

Jim and Wanda are the parents of two children and have four grandchildren. They are thrilled that God has called them "home" and look forward to serving in our beautiful association full of desert, tall pines, and wonderful people. We are excited to have the Pratt's here with us.

Our Associational Treasurer/Financial Director is Bonnie Smith. Bonnie is married to Perry Smith, and they have a 2 year old son, J.D. They live here in Snowflake and attend Valley View Southern Baptist Church. Bonnie is also our director for the New Life Pregnancy Center here in Snowflake. Bonnie is very excited to be our new Treasurer.

Our Receptionist for the Association, Arizona Baptist Children's Services, and New Life Pregnancy Center is Tonia Tamayo.  Tonia is married to Lito Tamayo, and they have two teenage girls and a 9 year old son. Tonia and her family live in Taylor.
