Resort Ministries:

Every summer the White Mountains play host to thousands of retirees who come to beat the heat in major cities in the desert areas of our state and surrounding states. Because of this influx of people, resorts have sprang up all over the White Mountain area creating an opportunity for a different type of ministry.

Our Association began the first Resort Ministry in 1986 at Venture In of Show Low.  From there we have expanded across the mountains. We now have Resort Ministries in Greer, White Mountain Lakes, Lakeside and Three in Show Low giving us a total of 6 Resort Ministries.

We have volunteers that come the first Sunday in June and stay to the end of September.  These volunteers stay on the premises and conduct Worship services, Bible Studies, counseling, and a great deal of other services for the guests in the resort area.

As an Association, we pay the lot fees, electric, and water for the volunteers that stay in the resort. We currently have 6 couples that are helping with this great Ministry. Eleanor Gardei has served as our Resort Ministry Leader for several years and is very much interested in anyone who would like to talk to her about this special ministry.              

Monies Received from these ministries allow us to open other resorts across the White Mountains as well as staff them. It is our prayer that we can continue to open new areas for service.
